A long time resident of Marysville, Washington, Bob Banks has been doing pen and ink drawings of barns in Snohomish, Island and Skagit Counties of Washington State for over 30 years. Many of his subjects no longer exist, though they continue to “live” in the homes of many collectors around the country. A few years ago he expanded his art to include watercolor and acrylic palletes and he continues to expand his knowledge and use of both of these mediums. He paints regularly with friends, and he and his wife Sue “teach” a watercolor class to residents of a local assisted living facility. Bob and Sue are retired and spend their quality time with family and friends. They also enjoy traveling around our wonderful West. Sue is a marvelous driftwood artist and they both enjoy playing golf. Bob is also a very accomplished photographer, fly tier and fly fisherman whose trips “ chasing fish” have taken him to the South Pacific, Mexico, Alaska and Canada, as well as his local waters in Washington State. Thanks for visiting! |

| "I believe we all have the ability to create art in some form or another. While some may find painting to be a bit overwhelming, it can be done by anyone. Certainly some will find it easier than others, and some will be much better at it than others, but anyone can do it. It takes practice and perseverance to develop any skill". |
